Can I download from a private account?

No. Only public posts are supported, and that is by design — private content should stay private, and we do not ask for your Instagram login.

Does Instagram tell the poster I downloaded their video?

No notification is sent for downloading a post. That said, only save content you own or have permission to use.

Why is there only one quality option?

Instagram often publishes a single encode per post. When that happens the list shows one entry — "Best available" — which is the full-quality file.

Can I download a carousel with several videos?

Paste the link and the video Instagram treats as the post’s main item is fetched. For a specific slide, open that slide and copy its own link where Instagram provides one.
