A downloader that does the awkward parts properly

Most free downloaders fall down in the same three places. They hand you 1080p when you asked for 4K, because above 1080p the picture and the sound are stored separately and merging them takes real work. They give you silent Reddit clips, for exactly the same reason. And they replace a progress bar with a spinner, so a large download looks identical to a broken one.

All three are fixed here. Resolution is chosen before codec, so 4K is genuinely 4K. Separate audio tracks are merged back automatically. And the progress bar shows real transfer speed, the bytes so far and an estimated time remaining, then tells you when it moves on to merging. Nothing is installed, nothing is stored, and the finished file is deleted from the server minutes after you save it.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Which platforms are supported?

YouTube including Shorts, Instagram including Reels, TikTok, Facebook including Reels, X (Twitter), Reddit and Pinterest.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It is a web page. You can add it to your home screen so it opens full screen, but there is no app store download and no browser extension.

Is it free, and how is it paid for?

It is free with no account. Advertising covers the hosting.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes, in Safari or Chrome. Saved files appear in your Downloads, and you can move them into Photos from there.

Is downloading videos legal?

It depends on the content and what you do with it. Downloading your own uploads, public-domain material, or content whose owner gave permission is fine. Republishing someone else’s work is not. Our plain-English guide covers it properly.
